Roland Zobel, ( 1945- 2004) , est un céramiste français, originaire de la Martinique . Formé à Bourges, à l’école des beaux-arts, puis à Faenza ( Ecole Internationale de Céramique), en Italie, il finit par s’installer à l’entrée des Cévennes . Il ouvrit un atelier de poteries, près d’Anduze, à Générargues , dans le Gard ; les Poteries des Cyclades .Il y exerça, jusqu’à la fin de sa vie , et contribua largement , au renouveau des poteries d’Anduze.
Roland Zobel est le fils de Joseph Zobel, (1915-2006) , écrivain et auteur de « Rue case-nègre », célèbre roman , dont fut tiré le film d’Euzhan Palcy .
